Applied Kinesiology (AK)
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is an interdisciplinary approach to health care that uses manual muscle testing as a primary feedback mechanism in the body. Though muscle testing, Dr. Greenfield is able to evaluate the physical, chemical, and emotional imbalances within the body. These imbalances, if left untreated, result in poor health.

Not only does Dr. Greenfield evaluate how the body is functioning but is also able to determine the best form of treatment for the patient. These treatments may include dietary management, clinical nutrition, cranial techniques, meridian therapy, and the use of reflexes. AK does not treat symptoms, but rather addresses the root cause of the body's imbalances. Ultimately, this allows the body to self-regulate and ultimately heal itself.

AK is not a procedure intended for a single method of diagnosis. When properly performed, this method of treatment is used to enhance examination by providing valuable insight into a patient's health problems.

Dr. Greenfield uses a 32-step protocol developed by Dr. Walter Schmitt, a diplomate in both Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic Neurology.

Dr. Greenfield has received over 300 hours of Applied Kinesiology training and received her certification in 2004. She is also a member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology. Additional information can be found at www.icakusa.com.
